Depression Help
Does daily life feel dark or heavy?
Have you lost interest in the little things that used to bring you joy?
Feeling weighed down by depression can make even simple tasks feel overwhelming.
Returning texts, washing dishes, stopping into a relative’s party can all feel like “too much”…
You might find it hard to get out of bed, connect with loved ones, or enjoy things that once brought you happiness.
Depression can feel isolating, as if you’re carrying a heavy burden that no one else can see...
Depression affects millions of people, from all walks of life. It can strike anyone, even if life is “perfect” on the outside.
Depression can show up as sadness, emptiness, irritability, fatigue, or a sense of hopelessness that just won’t lift.
It can also show up as a kind of mental fatigue that leave you without patience for the messiness of life- noise, lines, lateness or normal childrens’ antics might make you disproportionately overwhelmed or annoyed and angry at everyone around you.
Depression makes you question your worth. The voice of depression in your head might convince you that you will never cope well again, or that you just can’t cut it and aren’t “good enough”.
If you’re experiencing any of these feelings, please know that it’s not a personal failing or something you can just “snap out of.”
Untreated depression can impact your entire life- effecting relationships, work, your sense of self.
Reaching out for help can feel daunting, but it’s a courageous first step. Here, you’ll find a safe and supportive space to talk about what you’re going through. Together, we’ll work to understand what you’re experiencing and find ways to help you feel better.
We combine research supported best practices for depression therapy (like CBT and DBT) with integrative add ons that match your personality and needs. Those might include neurofeedback, EMDR trauma work, guided imagery, EFT energy tapping points, supplement recommendations or any number of integrative approaches that work complimentarily together.
We go beyond “talk therapy” - we don’t just “manage” symptoms, we help you feel good again.
Therapy has been shown to be a powerful tool for treating depression. Recent studies continue to show the effectiveness of therapy for depression. For example, a 2023 review of multiple studies published in The Lancet Psychiatry found that talk therapies like cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and interpersonal therapy significantly reduce depressive symptoms, often as much as medication. The review highlighted that people who engaged in therapy not only felt better emotionally, but also saw improvements in their daily functioning and relationships. Therapy really works!
