Looking for Supervision?
Searching for a supervisor with a wide range of expertise who won’t make you feel insecure?
I believe in you! Supervision is a cornerstone of growth for us clinicians, and it’s a role I approach with great respect. Over the years I’ve supervised graduate students, prelicensed therapists, and permit holders at all different stages of professional development. My supervision style is shaped by practical experience, specialized training, and a commitment to fostering a warm, supportive, authentic collegial relationship.
I understand the learning curve and the uncertainty that come with the territory. Imposter syndrome is a thing- and I aim to normalize it and coach you through it! My goal is to create a space where you feel comfortable discussing both successes and mistakes, knowing that supervision is a place for honest (non-judgemental!) reflection and growth. Supervision isn’t just about helping you develop clinical skills but also about finding your own professional voice and confidence.
Specialized Training and Certification
My clinical background is broad, and I like to fuse different approaches together, in a way that makes sense for each client. I am a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional, and have completed many years of advanced training in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing). I am also certified in anxiety treatment and as an integrative mental health professional, which includes training in the use of supplements, nutrition, functional medicine, and complementary health approaches alongside gold standard traditional CBT and ACT protocols. These certifications and trainings allow me to support supervisees with a wide range of interests and prior experiences.
I draw on evidence-based practices, integrating them with holistic and complementary approaches when appropriate. If you’re interested in learning about trauma-informed care, EMDR, or integrative strategies, I can help you navigate these areas. My supervision adapts to your interests and the populations you serve, giving you practical tools and perspectives to enhance your work.
Relationship Work Informed by Gottman Training
I have also completed training with the Gottman Institute, which is well known for its research-based approach to couples and relationship therapy. This training has deepened my understanding of relationship dynamics and given me practical tools for helping clients resolve conflict, foster connection and build healthy, resilient partnerships. I incorporate Gottman principles into supervision when working with clinicians who see couples or address relationship issues as part of anxiety, stress and the universal human search for meaning and connection.
Supervisory Coursework and Best Practices
Supervision is its own discipline, distinct from therapy, and I’ve completed formal coursework in clinical supervision to ensure I’m grounded in current best practices. I keep up with evolving standards, including ethical guidelines, multicultural competence, and approaches for supporting clinicians at all stages of their careers.
My supervision style is fluid and flexible. I encourage critical thinking, self-reflection, and professional autonomy, while also providing steady guidance and honest feedback. The aim is not just to help you meet licensing requirements, but to prepare you for the realities of clinical practice—balancing support with challenge, so you can grow in confidence and skill.
A Supportive, Down-to-Earth Approach
Expertise matters, but so does approachability. I strive to make supervision a welcoming space where questions are encouraged and vulnerability is respected. Supervisees have told me they appreciate my warmth, humor, and straightforward feedback. I don’t believe in hierarchy; supervision is a collaborative process, and I value the perspectives and experiences you bring.
Mistakes are inevitable, and I see them as valuable learning opportunities rather than failures. My hope is that you leave each supervision session feeling supported, clearer about your next steps, and more connected to your own strengths and goals.
Supervision is about your development as a clinician—not just meeting hours, but building a foundation for effective and ethical practice. I see my role as a guide and partner, helping you navigate challenges and celebrate milestones. Together, we’ll work through real-world scenarios, reflect on your experiences, and prepare you for the next steps in your career.
If you’re looking for supervision that combines expertise, practical support, and a genuine commitment to your growth, I’m here to help. I look forward to working with you as you build your skills, confidence, and professional identity.
